Fire Explorers participate in cognitive and psychomotor skills relevant to fire/EMS operations and certification.   Explorers have the opportunity to participate and certify in: Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations, Firefighting training scenarios (tools, equipment, hose lines appliances, etc.), Authentic assessments or practical examinations on all training, ICS (Incident Command System) 100 , ICS 200- NIMS (National Incident Management System), ICS 700 and 800,  ICS 317 CERT, and IS 907 Active Shooter.
