All Philadelphia Fire Explorer participants benefit from the training provided to the fire explorer at the PFD Fire Academy. Fire explorer meet on a bi-weekly basis and are trained in Leadership and Character development, Social and Professional Networking, Community Service, 

Community Risk Reduction, Fire Prevention and Life Safety Education, Emergency Mangaement Training, CPR and First Aid -Certified, EMR/EMT National Registry Certification, Orientation and Introduction to Fire Service, Department Communications, and Physical Fitness.
